Thea was considerably paler now: she could sense a tension hovering in the kitchen like a dark cloud. During her stay with Dimitri, she'd forgotten that he was, in fact, a very powerful(and equally dangerous) vampire that could decide she wasn't worth the trouble and kill her on the spot."I suppose doing it quickly is better than having to wait...I really would like if I could remain completely human until...midnight, perhaps?" Thea looked at her feet, still unwilling to look into his eyes.

He kept his eyes locked on hers. ''As you wish my Dea'''He said never breaking thw lock he had on her eyes. My, She sure knows what she wants... He thought to himself. The pancake he had sitting on the plate in front of him had not been touched. His wine glass on the other hand had what would be judged as a good sip left.

Thea picked up her apple and tore into it. When there was but a core left, she checked her clear, plastic watch. The time read 7:46. "Hmm. I have… a little less than fourteen hours, then. Plenty of time, no?" She said quietly, taking yet another swallow of coffee. The beverage was cold by now, but Thea needed the energy it provided to help her accomplish as she planned to do. "Could you…not do that, please? Chivalry states that you shouldn't stare." Thea murmured crossly, but her voice was slightly edged with fear.

Dimitri seemed as not to hear her but he looked away. His eyes flashed with an unreadable emotion. ''Plenty of time.''He murmered. He poured the last of what was in the bottle into his wine glass and took a long sip.

"So...not that I'm in any hurry to leave...you're just going to let me walk out of here, on the chance that I might never return?" Thea said evenly. Thea did plan to come back--this opputunity was to good to pass up--but how would he know? Thea had to have answers--If he simply said "yes", then she would know that he didn't really care, but if he said no---then what?

Dimitri shrugged. ''I trust that you will come back if you wish to be blooded. Otherwise, you must have changed your mind and I wont bother you and further. ''He said looking at her with his deep penetrating stare again, but quickly looked away as though it hurt him to look.

Thea sat stiffly, not knowing wheter to get up and go to him as she had last night, or keep her distance, as was proper."Remember what I said last night, about you not knowing me well? I want you to...to."She stopped, at a loss for words. Then she looked up, catching his chin with her pale hand."It's good to know you trust me enough to let me do this, love. You have my word that I'll come back."Thea said softly, for once willingly gazing into his aqua eyes.

Dimitri gave her a slight nod. He was obviously in another world. He was thinking back to when he had turned, he remembered it well....
''BUT MOTHER!'' The young Dimitri screamed in outrage. He was dressed in what you may think as very old looking. He had long hair tied into a pony tail. His eyes where still the deep set aqua, but they had a different fire in them. ''I am not going to hear of such things as Vampires Dimitri Victa's''She said with a heavey accent. Dimitri grumbled ''I HATE YOU!''He screamed running off. He ran through the woods that night. He ran far away from his parents home, into the woods and past the never seen forests. It was then that he ran into her. She was a vampire and he had met her once before. She had promised him he could be just like her. ''Im ready.''Said a very excited Dimitri. His eyes shone with excitment wonder and fear. ''Alrgiht, it might hurt.''She said in a sing-song voice before cutting i=his fingers with a dull blade. Dimitri yelled out in pain but she finished without asking if it did hurt. Dimitri hated the woman ever since. Her tall figure loomed over him. ''You will learn on your own for I want nothing to do with such a selfish brat!''With those words she left him alone and scared in the woods. He never saw his mother or father again for they had given up on their son being alive and moved away from the dreaded place. Dimitri shivered with the horrid memories.

If Thea hadn't known that vampires can barely feel anything tempatures besides the very hot and the unbearable cold, she would have guessed that Dimitri was shivering from the nippy autumn breeze that had just blew past them a few seconds earlier, ruffling both of their hair like a fond hand. "Dimitri..."She whispered, her eyes round."Dimitri..."

Dimitri snapped back to reality with the bitter taste of knowing he had left his mother telling her he hated her. He wished he could go back in time to change it. ''Sorry Dea'''He said taking a sip from his glass. He looked up and into her eyes with the penetrating stare again. ''More coffee?"He said simply.

Thea shook her head, letting her hand drop to her side."No, thanks. I'd much rather have information. What is wrong? I've never seen you like this--distant." Her eyes held his gaze, her hazel eyes serious. Thea's plate was now clear of pancakes; only a few crumbs and smears of dark preserves remained on the porcelain plate.

Dimitri looked at her hard. His eyes searching, wanting something. ''Nothing, why do you say that? Distant?Me never, of course not''He said quickly. Dimitri still hadnt touched the pancakes. He much rather not eat them.

Thea, once again, almost snorted."You're not even trying to lie, are you? You've shivered--generally that means you did in involuntarily because you were either frightened or alarmed. And I can think of only a few things that would scare one like yourself...Mr. Victors." Thea raised an eyebrow at him, but her mouth remained in a thin line.

Dimitri raised an eyebrow. ''I was never trying to lie Dea'''He said a sharp edge to his voice, one may have taken it as annoyance. He skept his stare on Thea. His eyes quivered back and forth with an un-human look, it was almost, animal like.

Thea met his gaze, her eyes void of all emotion: that was one of her talents."Yes, you were. My mother was a psychiatrist… despite your precautions..and I know you've taken some…I know how to read your actions. I'm not stupid, Dimitri." Thea said coolly her chin lifted ever so slightly."Don't say,' I never thought you were',because it's obvious that you did…are humans are ignorant at the very least, are they not?"
