Dimitri held onto her tight. ''Its ok..''He cooed. ''Im here, your fine..There is no fire.''He said stroking her hair with his hand. He kissed her softly on the head. ''Your safe with me.''

This sobered Thea. She nodded and wiped her eyes, grateful that she hadn't bothered to put on mascara last night. She pulled away, her tears gone but her face still pale.
"Thank you, Dimitri." Thea said quietly.

Dimitri smiled. ''Anytime Dea'. How would you like some pancakes? I have them about done-''With that he remembered the pancakes he had left un-attended. He gave a sheepish smile and excused himself before running wildly down the hall to find a very smoke filed kitchen. He coughed closing the door. He opened a window and threw the burning pancakes out it. He turned a fan on blowing the smoke out the window and quickly made some more pancakes. He set them on the table making sure to turn the oven off and he calmly walked back to Thea's room. He had a weird smile, that was a bit disturbing, but still you could see his charming smile there. ''Ok, shall we then?''

Thea nodded, smiling. She could smell the sweet scent of pancakes all the way in her bed room."Pancakes? Yum...thats one of my favorite foods...how'd you know?" Thea let herself be let into the kitchen and sat down one the same chair she'd been sitting in last night.

Dimitri smiled and shrugged. ''Well, its ah...One of the only things I can make without making you keel over in horrid pain.''He laughed. He grabbed some random ruit pieces that where sitting in a bowl bringing it over setting it down along with a cup of coffee for Thea and...his bottle of blood and glass. He swirled around closing the window and pulling the blinds tight. His skin was a bit red now from all the sun that morning. He sat down in his chair sighing deeply. ''If you dont mind me asking Dea', What was the screaming bit about?" He said pouring some of the thick red liquid that was indeed blood into his wine glass.

Thea watched as the crimson blood swirled in Dimitri's glass, her eyes unfocused. His question brought her back to earth.
"Ah..."She said, ribbing the skin from an yellow apple with her white teeth."I suppose I didn't make much sense back in my bedroom, did I? Well,I..."She stopped her hand hovering just above Dimitri's."I..I dreamed of my mother's death...she died in an arson fire almost six years ago. I only escaped from the same fate becuse of some wind..."

Dimitri smiled and nodded, ''A wind...What type?"He asked, his brow wrinkled into a look of deep thought. He took a long sip from his glass licking the drops of blood from hsi lips. His red-ened skin was starting to pale again.
Damn sunlight..'He thought bitterly rubbing his arm.

I'd never heard of such a strong gale in these parts...especially then when it was already well into March."She took a sip of coffee and looked at Dimitris redened arms."Say, you went into the sunlight to go into my room, didn't you?Are you alright?"

He nodded. ''It is in here too, I do my best to keep blinds everywhere. I had them up for you so it wasnt so dark. Yes, Im fine, I shouldnt be in it much more today though, I can stay in the sun for about 2 3 hours until it kills me.''He shrugged. ''It may have been...a lone Vampanzee or possibly Vampire. I know of a few gangs of Vampires, but none that would go out of their way to save a human.No offense.''He said flicking his head to get the hair out of his eyes.

Thea shook her head."The wind saved me before the fire was lit--why would someone save me and yet at the same time murder my mother? It doesn't make any sense...so I've tried to forget about it, like any normal person. Rein! I haven't washed my hands!" Thea threw her apple down and dashed to the sink to clean the dirt and grime from her hands. When that was done, she setled back down on her chair, chin on fist.

Dimitri chuckled slightly. ''I see, possibly they tried to save her, who knows? Well, sorry to change the subject suddenly Dea', but your turning.''He coughed. ''Would you like to spend a day with your father before we, uh...kill you? Per say..''He said with a gleam in his eyes. My my, what a handfull you are going to have Dimitri old boy. Remember who the full Vampire is now..' He thought to himself. He tapped his fingers on the table making tiny clicking noises. Click, click click. Over and over out of nervous habit.

"Well, chances are he'll be awfully angry about my not coming home last night." She bit her tounge to keep from giggling, for some odd reason." But he's always quick to forgive...that would be nice...but would I be able to..you know...tell him about my situation? He s my only family, after all."

Dimitri sighed shaking his head. ''It is probably best you dont. I mean, from what you have said, you know a bit about Vampires already. Hanging out with a Weregirl, so I think you took it very good. Your father, might not take to it so easy. He might call the police, I could be killed for being different, and my kind would be hunted more so than they all ready are by Slayers. Personally, I like to be alive.''He said chuckling with the last part. ''So thats why I say you should spend a whole day with him. '' His aqua eyes looked at her with that same penetrating stare he had once given her before. Click click click He kept tapping his fingers on the wooden table.

Thea nodded, then looked ponitedly down at his fingers tapping the table, away from his consuming stare. "I see,"She said, clasping her own pale fingers together on top of the table."My father and I live in one of the really nice apartments on Park Square--which is one of the reasons I went to the park. It's close to here... And you're right about my father. Chances are, he'll sooner...ah...shoot you than let you have hold of his only daughter, Dimitri." Thea leaned back in her chair slightly, her auburn head tilted to one side.

His fingers clenched into a fist. For a moment he looked as if he was ready to jump over the table and punch Thea in the face,but he did not. Intes hed lowered his hands to his lap and sighed. He gave a weak smile. ''Yes, and although him shooting me could kill me, chances are, he would have to get point blank to actually kill me. I can move faster than the bullet itself.''He laughed. ''And sneaking up on my is impossible unless he somehow find my home, then found a way in, then find me in my coffin. His chances are slim. So Im not worried about him killing me. Now, if he calls the police and they actually believed him, then I may have cause for concern, alas I do not.''He said tking a long sip from his glass. ''So, I suppose you will want to do that today? Then we blood you, and...uh...kill you. ''He said still staring at her.
