I know that you don't want fate to turn out the wrong way, that you could go back in time just fix the simple mistakes you made so many times, that you could turn her thoughts and fate around. But life is life, accept it as it is.'' He said, once again in that strange voice that a fortune teller uses, the fake one.

Payne took a long moment to think about, looking away from the man's burning eyes. ''Uh....''She bit her lip, a drop of blood gushed from the cut. ''Yes, I would do anything for him, sell my soul or kill anyone or even myself,'' she looked into his eyes as she said those words ''only if it meant that we could be together.'' She whispered looking down at her black heels in her shoes. ''Anything,'' She smiled, she was in love.

There was another pop and a young woman of about 18 stood beside the man. She looked to be his daughter, for she had his pale features and dark hair. her eyes, however, were the color of polished gold. "Ooh, Daddy! You did say I could have him if she refused, didn't you?!" The girl chittered excitedly. "Ooh, I can't wait!"
The flame-eyed man chuckled. "Yes, Azazela darling, I did...but I have not yet asked her the question, so wether or not you get LaVerne depends on Miss Payne's wishes."
His daughter scowled heavily at Payne, obviously unhappy about this.

Julian sighed, but did not let go of Raymond. "Hisoka, there are somethings even I daren't interfere with." She said.

Yukio sighed again, 'Alright...that is your wishes.'' He smiled and crossed a leg over the other and looked around. ''So, what are we going to do about plans for later? If we are gonig to do something about that crazed whats-his-face then what is it?''

Payne muttered something about bad things a girl would say to other girls in a fight inside her head, but she half-smiled and looked at the man. ''Now, what exactly is this question? I will do anything for Raymond...no matter what.'' She said, certain hat she would already agree to whatever was said.

Julian shrugged. "Inform the other guardians, I'm guessing. Not much else we can do against Sabino Bonicelli." She said, then forced Raymond into a chair and sat on his hand to keep him from getting up and going to Payne.

The dark haired man smiled and snapped his fingers. In his outstretched palm a knife with a silver-blade and a black-pommel appeared, glittering in the dim light. "Simple. To save your..." He spat the next word out as if it were poison. "..beloved, it is required that you become a guardian yourself. I do not hold with my slaves having relationships with humans, dull as they are. And if you don't...well, pray that Azazela is gentle with the boy."

Yukio looked over to Julian and then yo Raymond, they boys face was red and looked like a mixture of want, rage and stress. ''Um....alright, then they will be able to take things from there? Not much else to do except fight for your lives...'' He said, his voice finally back to normal.

Payne didn't take a minute to think but quickly replied, ''Explain what I have to do, I'll do it.'' She had once wanted a different life, this was her time to change. ''I'll do anything...just to make sure that Raymond isn't with anyone else..'' She said rage and hate for the words of Azazela almost in her voice. Almost, the key word...but she kept calm, for the sake of her life.

Julian shrugged, "Honestly, I don't know. Sabino likes hunting us guardians, y'see, so there are only a few in the city right now...and, then, only a few whom I am certain would help their fellows." She said, then adjusted her sitting position so that Raymond couldn't even so much as move his right arm. ... The dark-haired man grinned wickedly at Payne. "Simple. You slit your own wrists...I will take it from there." He said. Azazela pouted. "Buh Daaaa-deeee!" She whined, but her father ignored her. ((Gotta pic for Ray! Payne quickly took the knife and closed her eyes for a short second, then she opened them, took a deep breath and cut both her wrists. Her body covered with pain, but she ignored it biting her lips and looking up at the man. ''Alright, what do I do?'' She asked, a sihg slipping from her lips as she spoke.

Yukio looked over to Julian and started to speak, ''Oh, for the love of the gods Julian...let him go...he is over there dying...'' He looked at Raymond, feeling sorry for the boy..his arm being crushed by Julian.

The man smiled. "Now, little one...Lucifer says 'sleep'." He whispered, then placed a freezing palm to Payne's forehead and waited for the magic words to work.
Azazela howled then disappeared with a crack.

Julian sighed. "Whatever..." She grumbled, then stood up."
Ray gave Yukio a grateful smile and rushed off to find his beloved Payne.

Payne had a strange feeling in the pit of her stomache and she grew very tired suddenly, she could see a blury figure of Raymond. ''R-R-Ray...'' Words couldn't come from her lips...she just sat there and sighed softly.

Yukio smiled, ''now was that so hard? Just let the boy see her...they like each other okay? Give it a brake.'' He sighed, he probably felt worse about it than her.

Julian settled down in the chair Ray had vacated. "Codfish, I suggest you shush about what you don't understand." She grumbled, closing her silver eyes.

Raymond gasped, suddenly enraged. "Lucifer! Get away from--"
Lucifer laughed, his evil eyes dancing. "Too late, mt friend...she is already of the undead!" He crowed, then disappeared.
Raymond groaned and raced to Payne, placing her head on his shoulder. "Oh, my darling...."

Payne flopped over onto Raymond, her hair surrounding his shoulder. ''I lo.....ve..y...'' She tried to stay awake, but her body was so tured that she collapsed in Raymonds arms, her breathing slowing and very soft.
((jeez..I don't evn know what to do...what should Payne do next? Its all so comfusing...how do they become guardians? its a question never answered....maybe...but what do I do now? seriously...lmao I love the Yukio moment..))

Julian looked as if she dearly wanted to smack Yukio at that moment. "I know what I know, and I know that you are a both a sadist and an imbecile that should shut up before I whoop his skinny white bottom." She countered cooly.

Raymond pressed his forehead against hers, his expression that of tortured pain. "Shh...I love you too...just rest for the moment..." He closed his eyes. He hadn't wanted this for Payne...being a guardian was the worst thing that could happen to anybody, ever...
(( Well, basically, they..die. And then come back to...half-life. So Payne should be in alot of pain right now. No pun intended.))

Yukio smiled, ''I am not saying you are dumb miss Julian but listen to me, I know that you know what you know and I know what I know, but I know what you know but you do not know what I know, so I know what both know and you know what you know, therefor I know more about whats going on here.'' He smiled, he was simply messing with her mind now, he knew what all his words meant and what she was even thinking at this moment, but he tried to explain it in the worst way possible.

Payne's body shivered from the killing pain and she took the lightest of breaths. ''I..can't move...'' She whispered so soft, Raymond could probably barely hear it. It tired her to even say those words, to even move her lips. Her body hurt when she shook, but she shook because it hurt, it was all a twisted life of pain..that would surely end soon. Tears fell from her eyes, she softly cried it hurt her so badly..and her heart pushed on to help her survive. It felt like someone was punching her chest millions of times and pushing a knife into her back. Her breaths became staggered after a minute, her lungs closing slowly and her gasping for breath so she didn't choke. Her face and whole body turned very pale, and she still continued to cry softly. Her body broke down slowly and painfully, each organ stopping at the last possible second. Not long after, her heart stopped moving and she closed her eyes, her short breath stopping and the last of her tears falling from her eyes, her hand fell from where it once layed on her chest, falling down and hitting Raymonds knee.
((Was that good enough? Okay she died....now how is she brought back to her special life thing? It confuzzles me..I will probably not do this again..onless everything goes okay..lol. Hey, I'm not the one who came up with the info..and Yukio is so funny I have to admit..his tone in his voice is mocking..and he says know alot...purposely..lol))

Julian looked at him, and her usually silver eyes were a broiling shade of red that seemed to make the air between she and Yukio sizzle. "Shut.Up.Now." She growled.

Raymond gave a strangled cry and pulled Payne to his chest, burying his own tear-streaked face in her soft hair. "Oh,no...no,no,no...Damn you, Lucifer...I hope you roast in the flames that your kingdom!" The young guardians swore, his voice muffled.
