Payne, without replying, walked out the door. ''Well...'' She sighed, brushing off a bit of blood with her shirt. She walked over near the turn in the hall was, standing at the corner. She stood there and waited for Raymond to follow. She had a light pink blush on her cheeks and her eyes flicked to where Raymond was as he walked over to her, the door shut from where he came from.
Yukio sat there, digusted. ''They need to just get a room sometimes....that is sickening to watch them kiss up to each other.'' He spat at the ground where they were standing before.

Julian rose to her feet and would have tackled Yukio had Sol not grabbed both her shoulders just in time. "Cad! Ray is indeed stupid and a biggot, but that does not mean you may insult him behind his back! You...wait. You're jealous, aren;t you?" Jules expression changed from murderous to silghtly amused in seconds.

Ray had already shut the door behind him when Yukio spoke, so did not hear his harsh words. He strode after Payne, his black hair falling in front of one eye. "My goodness...you'd think they were all prudes by the way the act..." He said, smiling.

Payne smiled back and pushed a few locks of hair behind her ear. ''So...was there something you needed to say?'' She asked said, the smile fading after a few moments.

Yukio glanced at Julian, eyes wide. He was speechless for a moment. ''Uh...no...no...of course not! Why would I be jealous of that? What is there to be jealous of?'' He asked, he felt like ripping someone's head off. Maybe one of the practically dead guys in his home. He shook inside and his eyes lightly twitched, jealous? No! Wait....then..oh crap! I'm jealous aren't I? I feel like killing someone....and why the heck did I talk to Raymond like that? Jeez..I must be going mad... He sighed, feelings for Payne? He did before...but that was years ago...but maybe, her stunning looks still caught his attention. He could just...No! She's older..she'll kill me! He sighed. ''I am not jealous..'' He mumbled the lie.

Sol, who had been quiet up until now, fell over with a thunk, laughing like a mad man.
Julian ignored joined him, falling onto her bottom and giggling like a schoolgirl.

Raymond looked at her, thinking of what to say. "Well, I..." He paused, then started over again. "I want to confess something to you, Payne."

''Shut up!'' Yukio yelled in a rather low pitched, yet squeaky. He sounded like he was gonna cry, which made it even more hilarious than before. ''I am....not..jealous.'' He squeaked between short breaths.

Payne blushed deeply, confessions were normally good. ''Y-Yes..?'' She said, her eyes gazing into his. She held her hands together behind her back and she blinked slowly again, almost as if time was going slow.

Julian nodded, still laughing as hard as she could without having an accident. "Oh, yes, yes you are..."
Sol pressed his face into his hands, giggling madly.

Ray's smile grew. "Well, you may slap me if you like for saying this, but I have taken...a great liking to you." He said, looking back at her, a lump growing in his throat from nervousness.

''I am not!!'' He said, a tear falling from his cheek. He pouted and crossed his arms. ;;Why must you make fun of me?'' He said, looking like a complete idiot.

Payne stood there, her lips twitching telling her to smile. A tear glinted in her blue eye and she opened her mouth to talk. ''I....I...'' She couldn't get any words to come from her lips, so she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. ''Thankyou, Raymond...you couldn't make me any happier than this.'' She said and rested her head on his shoulder as she hugged him. ''I've felt the same exact way.'' She whispered softly.

Sol sat up. "Do not lie, child. I have eyes and I can see that you are jealous."
Julian, still on the flor, nodded. "I concur." She said.

Ray smiled broadly, hugging her with one arm and with his free hand petting her hair. "You are very much welcome, darling..." He whispered, slightly breathless from the growing happiness in his chest.

''What? I can't be jealous....no...'' He sighed, looking away from the two. ''I just cannot be jealous...'' He whispered, although he knew they heard.

Payne sighed for a short moment then smiled again, ''You know..'' She said moving her head back to where she could see him again, ''I thought you would never say that..'' She smiled, the tear that was stuck in her eye finally falling down her pale cheek. Her face was nearly inches from his and his warm breath tickled her lips, urdging to move her. Her eyes faced his and they sparkled like never before, he had actually changed her, warmed her heart.

Ray's mind seemed to be floating in an expanse of multi-colored lights and fluffy clouds. How this was, he could not be sure, but he had a vague suspicion it was from this happiness. He was unacoustomed to it... he hadn't known it in it's true form for...2 years, at least.
Raymond closed his eyes, still smiling. "Well, then, I believe we will have to work on your image of me." He replied, his voice as floaty and far-off as his mind. He kissed the tear from her cheek, and tasted salt as he licked his lips.

Sol harrumphed. "Oh, yes, you can..."

Payne curved lips up in a slight smile, ''Hm....if my image were any different, I might not have been here right now.'' She said still looking at his eyes, she moved a bit closer to him, her grasp tightening. ''I told you...it wasn't just our first time meeting, and not our last either.'' She smiled and moved a bit closer, her nose touched the tip of his at that point. Her smile faded and she pecked his lips.

Raymond opened his glimmering silver eyes and placed his hands on the backs of Payne's shoulders. He stayed still, for fear that he'd do something drastic and stupid and ruin everything unless he stayed quiet and still. Ray was still smiling.

Payne smiled looking, unable to move her daze. ''Relax silly, you look scared.'' She smiled and giggled, shaking her head. '' Trust me, you couldn't ruin this moment even if you tried.'' She said and hugged him once more. She was so caught up in the moment she didn't know what to do, she didn't want to leave the moment behind.
Yukio walked over to the door and ignored the two still laughing. He slowly opened hte door, making sure the two didn't notice he was watching. He smiled, they looked cute together. But he wished deep down that he was in that position, although he knew he wouldn't. Oh welll, its life. She was special to me...but I'll have to give it up.. He shook his head and turned around, closing the door silently.

Said a voice, and the pressure of an inivisible hand rested lightly on Yukio's shoulder. "That you are strong enough to do such a thing, Master Hisoka. Such a trait will be useful in the time to come."

Ray's grin devolved into a half-smile. "Ah...and I trust that, if I kissed you, then that would not ruin it?" He asked, his voice soft.

Yukio nodded, ''Thankyou....it still hurts though.'' He whispered, her eyes shut for a short moment. ''She grew up well...'' He said as though she was actually a child of his own.

Payne's smiled faded a bit, her lip still close to his. One of her hands moved up to his neck and she looked in his eyes, ''No...it would only make it better.'' She said and he head turned slightly, her lips nearly inches from his and their breath touching. The heat from their bodies rose and the world around paused.
