Alex was now being swarmed by hundreds of spiders. She took it that the big one was like a queen. She was in horrible pain now for she had many bites all over her, she didnt think she would live through it. She beat some off of her and then began running. She looked back behind her briefly and they were hot on her trail.
''Oh, charna's guts..''She said as she pressed herself to go faster, trying to remember how to get back to the hole.

Karsten listened to the terror down below. ''Oh, thats bad..''He muttered strainnig to hear more.

Lily raised her hands to her mouth, looking at the whole with wide eyes.
Oliver closed the book and stashed in back in his pocket, frowning as he clasped his hands behind his back and waited.
Julian nodded. "Aye...if Miss Wolfe survives this, then even I will respect her." She said, looking at her fingernails.

Alex ran faster as she turned down a corridor. She stumbled over a large rock and slipped down into a deep crack in the rock. She yelped in pain as a sharp pain shot up her right leg. She couldnt see what it was, for even for a Vampire, this darkness was to thick to see through. The spiders all snapped above the crack, she was goig to have to kill them all first. She shoved her dagger into the belly of one, spraying sick juices out that rained down on her. She shut her eyes tight as the liquid burnt her pale skin. She killed off the rest of the spider and climbd out. No doubt more would come, so she limped along until she got to the hole in the ceiling.
She threw the egg up through the hole and she smiled as cheering started, but that was only part of the test. She climbed out of the rock and grinned. ''I did it, but....I fear I must tell you something after I finish the trial.'' Alex said to Karsten who was smiling at her.
''Very well. I admire you for getting up here so quickly.'' He said clapping with the rest of his kind.

Julian winked at Alex, her lips pursed slightly and her silver eyes hooded.
Oliver smiled at the Vampiress, but of course stayed quiet, silently waiting.
Lily bit her lip, her face still pale.

Alex sighed and looked at the rather squishy egg. She took it, and ate it all quickly without hesitation. She had it down a minute before her eyes grew wide and she started choking. She fell backwards convulsing on the ground.
Karsten watched quietlly, he knew the last part would kill you if you didnt drink enough blood, and if you were to young. He hoped she would make it.

Oliver kneeled next to Alex and watched her with emotionless eyes.
Lily gave her father an odd look--what did he think he was doing?
Julian smiled at Alex, despite the Vampiress' current predicament.

Alex convulsed a bit more before her body went still. Several Vampire's gasped and watched in horror.
The silver haired woman's eyes slowly opened and she gave a weak smiled. ''Did....it.''She muttered before her world grew black and she passed out.
Many Vampires began to woop, but Karsten hused them.
''I am glad she made it.'' Karsten said quietlly.

Julian held out her pale hand, and a grumpy-looking Delphius appeared next to her.
Glaring at the guardian, the messenger demon pulled a small bag out of his indigo top hat and slammed it into her palm. "Hmph. You win this bet, Julian..." He grumbled, then disappeared.
Jules tucked the bag into her coat and smiled.
Lily harrumped. "You bet on her, Jules?" She growled, but the guardian did not look in the least sorry.
Oliver, acting out of pure instinct, picked Alex up by her shoulders and looked around for 'Them'...he was sure that they would be here, now if not later.

Almost as if on cue, five women dressed in raggy dark clothing came out and took Alex away. Not speaking at all as they left, passing the Vampire's surrounding the hole.
Karsten nodded slowly. ''Well, when she comes to we can pull her next trial. She has three left...''He said clasping his hands together and rubbing them.

Oliver nodded, brushing his hands off on his trousers. "Aye." Said Oliver. It was the first word he had spoken since the trial had begun.
Julian stood and, with a curt salute to Oliver and Karsten, disappeared.
Lily let out an 'oomph' as the stool benath her vanished and she fell on her rump.

Karsten pciked Lily up and set her straight on her feet. The Vampire's all began to leave, chattering about Alexandra and her first victory.
''Well...we should go wait then..''He said.

~
Alexandra awoke stiffly feeling like she had been hit with a bus. ''Ugh...''She muttered standing. She still had the same clothes on, but she was bandaged in odd places. Her ankle throbbed when she walked, but she was determined to get to the throne room to see her next trial.

Oliver sat upside-down in his throne in the Hall, his feet on the head rest and his brown-haired head dangling on the front. A book was in his hand, which he read silently.

Alex limped into the hall and the guards let her in the throne room. She bowed when she saw Oliver, and Karsten who was tipping back in his leaning it on the rock wall and he appeared to be sleeping.
''Sires..''She said softly.
