Silas chuckled. ''Hello Guiney.'' He said. Jaqcues jumped back. ''Afraid of a snake?'' Silas said. Jaqcues nodded. ''They are one of the animals that are like poison to Vampires.'' He said eyeing the snake.

Guiney's forked tounge shot in and out of his mouth as he crawled up Maryjane's arm. "Oh," The girl said. "He's just a little garden snake. He might bite, but he doesn't have an ounce of poison in his fangs."

In all fairness to Lily, she recovered well. "Up until you read my mind, yes." She said, pursing her lips. "But you still don't seem like much of a livewire, I'm afraid."

Jaqcues shook his head. ''I know...maybe not to you...but the damn things hate Vampires.'' He said twitching. Silas couuld only laugh at this point.

Karsten chuckled. '' Well, considering I have been up to my eyes in nothing but troublsome Vampires, I guess thats apropriate. I havent slept in about five days.'' He said shaking his head.

A smile started to form on Lily's lips again, no matter how hard she tried to keep her face emotionless. "Ah...please tell me you're less of a grouch once you've had some sleep." She replied, bending forward ever so slightly.

As if on cue, Guiney hissed at Jacques and crawled up Maryjane's sleeve. The girl giggled, beaming like the sun.

Jaqcues jumped and gave a pleading look kto Maryjane. ''Can you put him back now please?'' he asked biting his lip. Silas laughed again and recieved a slap. ''Your no help.'' Jaqcues said playfully.

Maryjane scrunched up her nose. "Well, if he really bothers you, okay." She held her arm towards the stalk plants. Guniey slid out of her sleeve and climped onto the vegetation. he left soon after, but not before hissing at Jacques one last time.

Lily clasped her hands in mock prayer. "Thank heavens. I don't think I could have stood another day being near Karsten Super-Grouch." She said, raisng her fair eyebrows.

Jaqcues sighed with relief. ''Thank you Maryjane...shall we go on?'' He said nodding to the rest of the path. Silas nodded behind him. ''If Maryjane would like to.'' he said.

Maryjane nodded, and began to walk again. "Is it just snakes you don't like, Jacques?" She asked. "Because I'd like a little pet to take care of, like a kitten or a puppy."

Lily's smile grew. "It suits you far better than 'Prince Karsten' does, I can tell you that." she said, placing her hands back on her hips.

Lily rolled her eyes. "I wasn't worried about that. If you haven't thought about it, how odd would it look to your subjects to see you sitting and talking with the daughter of a traitor?" She said bitterly, glaring at the rocky ground.

Silas sighed. ''Fine.'' He said. ''Where will we get one?'' He asked. Jaqcues smiled. ''You and I turn to wolves and go grab one.'' He said smirking.
