Karsten sighed and pulled up a chair for himself and sat down beside Lily's bed in it. Why would anyone ever want to hurt someone so young? So innocent?

There was a quiet knock on the door and Oliver poked his head in. Sensing that Lily was already asleep, he asked. "So...you have seen what that monster Sabino has done to her?" He asked.

Karsten looked up and nodded. ''Traitorious scumbag he is..''He muttered shaking his head in anger. His red eyes were gleaming with hate and rage as he stood up.

Oliver nodded as well, his normally calm, cool blue-grey eyes cooking with uncharacteristic rage. "I share your views, my friend. But...I fear we shall never catch him...not if Julian and her lot haven't been able to." He muttered, his rage tinted with a smidgen of hoplessness.

Oliver smiled ruefully. "Several of our people have been complaining about a young human who has wandered into the Mountain. He says his name is William...William Ives, and he says that he is familar with and must see you. May I ask what you have been doing, chap?" He asked, rasing his eyebrows.

Karsten looked blankly at Oliver, not giving anything away. ''Nothing, I assure you..''He said rubbing his neck. ''You know I dislike humans.'' He added. ''With one or two acceptions.'' He said nodding to Lily.

Oliver frowned. "Ah...I see. And I suppose you also dislike your fellow Prince, for you seem to enjoy keeping secrets from him. I am not a fool, Karsten, despite the fact a am nearly 200 years junior to you." He said stiffly, leaning against a wall and cooly regarding Karsten.
Under the covers, Lily twitched and moaned.

Oliver bowed, grimancing. "Of course, sir. Who is a court fool to question the king?" He asked, then shook his head and stalked out fo the room.
There was a echoing snort, and a young boy appeared at the foot of Lily's bed. "Oh-hoo-hoo...bad move, Princey... you should never hurt Little Olie's pride, or he'll be steamed for weeks." He said, fixing the top hat perched on his black-haired head.

The boy blinked at him. "Oh? And why ever should I? Wait, don't tell me...if I don't scat, you'll hit me with a shovel. OOOOHHH...I'm so very scared." He sneered at the Prince. "I have some news for you, and I think you would like to hear it."
