Karsten shrugged. ''Again, I have no idea...Sometimes I think just going into hidingfor a while might be nice...'' He said sighing as if a heavy weightr had been put on him.

Lily blinked again, and rubbed her forehead. "Well..." She turned sideways on her rock. "I can't say I would blame you if you did. It seems like being a Prince is pretty tough."

Karsten nodded. ''It is...dealing with my people everyday, deciding wether or not to goto war...if we should hold the trials this year, if we should continue as we are or change our ways...Its all very stressful....it may be part of my reason why I dont get close to anyone..'' He said blinking his ed eyes and looking up.

Lily nodded and turned to look at him again. it was then that she caught sight of the three purple-skinned men racing towards them, swords unsheathed and daggers held at the ready.
The earth child screamed and pushed Karsten out of the way as the foremost vampaneze lept at them. The two tumbled off the rock and down the mountain.
The vampaneze sniffed: This was no vampiress...she was human, and young at that. He had gone for 3 weeks without blood...and this female's blood smelled particularly sweet. He bit down on her neck when he and Lily had reached a ledge. The jugular popped, spraying crimson . The vampaneze slurped it up like a child would drink water from a park water fountain.
Lily screamed in pain before tapping her boot on the floor. A blade popped out of the sole. This she plunged into her attacker's heart. The man gasped and fell off her, dead within seconds. The earth child's counciousness began to fade and she fell to the ground, watching in horror as her life's blood drained from her.

Karsten ran to Lily's side. ''Lily! Lily!!'' He said urgently, ''Answer...oh, please keep your eyes open.'' He said watching her blood pour over him. He ripped off half of his sleeve with amazing strenght and pressed it onto her wound trying to stop some of the blood flow. The other Vampaneze where no where in sight, that was good.
Oliver....get some Vampire's out here...Vampaneze attacked and Lily is hurt...hurry. The Princes urgent voice rang in his fellow Princes head.

Oliver dropped the jug of mead he was drinking, his already pale face turning white as paste. "Argh!" he turned to a group of vampires drinking near Julian and himself. "You five, go out to the mountain ledge...Prince Karsten needs your help."
Julian turned her goblet of wine upside-down and grabbed Oliver's arm, shooting out of the hall faster than was reasonable. The group of vampires followed both of them, having to flit just to keep up with Jules.

Lily gasped, her green eyes fadeing. "K-Karsten..." She whispered, struggling to stay awake. She reached a bloody hand up and put it on his shoulder. Just that simple movement caused her breathing to come quicker.

Karsten could feel a ripping in his heart again..this time though, it felt like his whole heart was about to be ripped out.
''Shh...Be still...its going to be okay...Just remember, I love you.'' He said keeping his had over the deep gash in her throat. He was going to hunt those Vampaneze down and kill them, if they werent already dead from their tripdown the Mountain.

Julian, Oliver, and the group of other vampires arrived at the ledge. The Prince waved away the guards and dashed towards Karsten and Lily. "Oh...oh, dear."
Julian sat down next to Lily, looking at the wound through the Prince's fingers. "Hmm...we're going to need a healer."
Silas! I need you, pronoto! Lily's been bitten, and I don't think she has more than 10 minutes left. She called, her silver eyes wide.
Lily groaned and started to pant, her chest rising and falling at an abnormal rate.

Silas, who had been sitting in a chair watching over Maryjane, shot up. ''Maryjane, stay here.'' He said before he vanished.

Karsten looked at her with a pained expression. He had just came to terms with following his path. 'Please dont let her die...' He thought holding her with his free arm.
Silas appeared a moment later and stooped down. ''Oh me..'' He said blinking. ''Karsten, Shut your eyes...everyone else, please turn away from us..Its about to get very very bright...possibly harmful to you Vampires.'' He said weary of the Prince. He placed a handon Lily's forhead and stomach, then a searing bright light shot out every where around Silas, Lily, and Karsten. The Prince shut his eyes tight and winced as the bright light burned his exposed skin. Silas held onto the girl healing her outside then inside, assesing the damage with the light washing over them. It held warmth, equal to that of the sun, wich caused the skin of the Vampire's to react as though it where the sun.

Maryjane blinked. "Oh...my."
Thea sighed. "I wonder why he's in such a hurry..."

Julian closed her eyes obidiently, turning away from the light. Oliver did the same, biting his lip as his pale skin prickled and sizzled because of the light.
The other vampires looked away, sheilding their faces with their arms.
Lily's breathing began to get steadier, and her eyes closed in sleep.

Silas breathed evenly and withdrew his hands. The bright light slowly dimmed. ''She should be fine...just a little tired.'' He said smiling at his work.
Karsten opened his eyes and removed his hand and the torn material of his shirt he had pressed over her throat. ''Thank you then.'' He said happy that she would be okay.

Julian smirked. "Thankees, Silas." She said, nodding respectfully at him. "We should get her inside...the cold alone could kill her yet."
Oliver smiled. "Ah. And were are the b*stards that did this?" He asked, looking over at Karsten.

Karsten shook his head. ''I have no idea...somewhere down the crest of the Mountain...they fell. Im going to kill them if its the last thing I do.'' He swore clenching a fist in anger.
Silas blinked. ''Ok...Well. Ill take her inside for you if--'' ''I can do it.'' karsten snapped turning his fiery gaze onto Silas.
The albino raised his hands as a sign of peace. ''Okay, no need to get nasty.'' He said standing.

Julian rose gracefully, her black hair wipping about in the wind. "Well, then, hop to it." She said. "And lighten up. You're almost as bad as I am."
Oliver sighed. "If you're going to kill them yourself, may I ask why you needed the extra vampires."
Julian looked at him, her silver eyes emotionless. "Because those vampaneze were scouts, most like."

Karsten shook his head. ''No..because I didnt know snow white here could heal. I asked them out here because, oh nevermind.'' He growled standing with Lily healed tight in his arms bridal style.
Silas growled. ''Snow White?!'' He said with anger. Karsten nodded. ''Yes.''
