Ezalia tail puffed up on the idea of her being paranoid. "Are you suggesting something?" she hissed, sharp kanine teeth showing. Lian whacked the familiar on the head. Lian blinked. "Forgive my...familiar." Lian apologized to Aubrey. "She is rather jumpy at night for no known reason." the spirit hunter said, her voice smooth as ice.

Aubrey raised one lone black eyebrow and Ezalia. "No, I am not...it just caught my attention that you continue to look nervous." He sighed and turned back to Lian. "It is alright. She's perfectly delightful compared to some of the odious people I have met."

(( Whew. Thankies. Braindead, forgive me. Blame school... ))
LIan laughed a bit, as the wind toyed with her dress, sending it billowing out around her. Her wings were concealed by a brown cloak.

Aubrey, for some reason, blushed bright red at this and looked down at his boots, his usual swave manner gone. The wind reminded him of Thea, and she in turn reminded him of what he had yet to do.

Lian blinked, smirking as she saw the red in his face. Ezalia, however, remained her usual self and completley ignored him as she daydreamed.

Aubrey reached up a hand and smacked his own cheek, bringing a bigger flush to his face than before. But it seemed to get him out of his embaressed state, for he smirked back at Lian and winked.

Ezalia turner her head as she saw movement. "Huh?" she asked, blinking. Snapping out of her daze, she scratched at an ear. Lian blinked as her small diamond ring began to pusle with color. She muttered a curse.

Aubrey raised his eyebrow again in the universal sign of mild confusion. "Mmm? What is it, Madam Lian?" He asked, his dark blue eyes straying to the gently pusling ring.

"Hmm? Oh, nothing, nothing. I must be going now.." she said, looking about. Ezalia perked up and morphed into her lynx form.
(( Wheeee!! GHOSTIE FIGHTING TIME!! NYEHH PUHPUHPUH!!! *makes lazergun noises* ))

Aubrey bobbed his head. "Very well. May we meet again soon, Madam Lian." He said, pausing to bow to her again before turning and walking in the opposite direction, his stride casual.

Lian blinked a second, then tore off after Ezalia. She growled. "Ack! Dumb spirits... They can't rest for ONE day!!!" she yowled, possibly loud enough for Aubrey to hear.

Aubrey, who would have heard even if she had whispered it, blinked. But he didn't pause, just kept walking, his steps silent and graceful as a cat's.

Ezalia slowed so she fell behind Lian. Lian followed a tugging sensation, around the street, past the cafe`, to the deserted part of town. She shivered as snow had fallen here. Pulling the brown cloak over herself, the spirit hunter looked for any signs of a passing soul.
