Riki sighed into the maroon-colored couch of her apartment. Meski was gone, as usual, but left her money. Riki decided to give the apartment... A bit of a makeover. They now had a working TV with cable, decent beds, a new kitchen, and practically new everything- including wardrobe. Except that one skull hoodie.. Riki decided she was fond of it and shoved it into the back of her wardrobe. She had gone digging through the house earlier, and was exhausted. She had found many interesting things of her family's.. Including an odd golden staff with an orb on top of it. Riki wondered what it could be used for... Her family was of ancient magical origins, and many were cursed. She heard a soft grraaaw coming from under a pile of junk.
"Meh? Oh, hey Tur! Get outta there!" Riki sighed, shoving a hand into the pile. She pulled out a small husky puppy. It barked happily as she set it back down. Meski had taken all the cats with her to Vampire Mountain, only to wreak havoc. Oh well... Riki had actually found the puppy. She decided to keep it, and from then on, an unbreakable friendship had formed.

A large brown and white wolf padded slowly towards the apartment. On its back where two wings. One black, and one white. On its fornt paws it wore to bracelets, one white and one red. Its eyes where red and white and its tail wagged as it neared the apartment. Im so excited..I cant wait! I hope she hasnt forgotten...oh... Jaqcues said in his own head. He turned into a human behind a bush and shoved on clothes he had been carrying in his muith when he stood he had a simple black pair of pants and boots on. No shirt would fit over his wings, so he had just decided not to wear one anymore.
When he got up to the door of his girlfriends apartment he sighed deeply. He hadnt seen her in quite some time. She didnt even know he had died, let alone what he now looked like. He knocked on the door and hoped for the best.

Tur began racing in circles and barking happily. Riki giggled a bit and called to the door-
"I'll be right there!" she walked over, the small puppy barking and stumbling right behind her. Riki picked Tur up and opened the door. She was greeted by an odd sight. A boy with- wings. Tur barked hyperly and squirmed in Riki's arms. The eyes of the boy.. something struck her as familiar.

Jaqcues looked at Riki slightly stunned. She looks so much...different...alot older.. Snapping out of his thoughts he smiled.
''Riki...its me.'' He said in a voice different from his first, it was deeper and yet still held the soft tone of his old voice. ''Its me, Jaqcues.'' He said again onbly this time hugging her, being careful of the puppy in her arms.

Riki blinked.
"J...Jaqcues?" she gasped, nearly dropping Tur. The pup gave a squeal of alarm. "H..How?" she whispered, staring at his wings. His voice was different... But it had been a while. Why was she surprised? Well, the fact that her loved was now an angel of sorts might of been the problem. She sighed, unwilling to accept what happened to him. "You're...You're.. How?" she asked in a quiet voice, yet it sounded a bit older and more mature. It took a tone of disbeleif. She knew what this was.. She had seen it before. But how? How could he be a Dead Blood? her mind screamed, questions swirling around in it.

Jaqcues took a deep breath. ''Riki...you might want to sit down...its all quite a long story...'' He said looking at his hands. ''Im sorry for not coming sooner...There just wasnt time.'' He said looking back up and trying to smile.
((Sorry...I wont be on for a while, Im going camping...Ill be back monday!))

Riki smiled a weary grin.
"Allright.. Come in. It's changed.. A bit scence you were last here. Meski sorta left all her money.." Riki gave a small laugh, soft with a light tone of disbeleif. She felt like she was in a dream... He was dead, yet not... She bit her lip ahrd, a bad habit she had had forever. A tiny bit of blod trickled down but she quickly licked it up. Tur was squeaming angrily in her arms for being held captive for such a long time. Riki smiled a bit as she set the puppy down. "And no worries- all the cats including Mi Mi are gane. Tur's the only pet here now." Riki said in a small voice.She felt flushed.. So much was happening so fast. Her eyes had brightened as she had aged, but they had a slight lonliness in them. Tur was good company, but couldn't speak in her language. She often found herself wishing for someone to talk to or something to do.

((Ummm...I have some very bad news...We came home early because my uncle who was very sick, died on saturday...so we are having a day and night service on tuesday then his burial on wednesday...So I might not be on until late at night like this when Im up alone...just warning you so you know what has happened to me.))
Jaqcues sighed with relief. He had thought she might not even want to see him, nor believe a single thing he said was true. ''Well...I dont really know where to start....so...I guess I'll just start at my death.'' He said sitting on one of the couches in the room. He folded his wings so they didnt press akwardly against the couch and sighed. ''It started as an inoccent snow fight between Jack,Thea,Dimitri and I outside...but then the worst happened. Slayers looking for Lily, not really us Vampires came. So we all hightailed it inside and held up in our vault. However the door was wooden, and they broke it down..'' He said shuddering as the horrible memories washed over him once again. Regardless of this, he continued his story.
''When they got the door down, everyone hit the floor, except me. I was left standing in the middle of flying bullets. Thats when I was shot to death...And so the begining of my new life began.'' He said finsihing his small side-story, hardly the begining of his crazy adventure.

(( OMG!! *throws self at you* I feel sooo sorry for you, you poor little gimphire! I can wait for you.. Dun worry. ))
Riki sat next to him, her eyes distant and troubled. She knew what death was like.. Except her past self had been... Well, beheaded. She gave a troubled sigh.
"So.. This is the new you." she said, tilting her head. She gavea small smile. "Your eyes are the same... I'm glad death hasn't hardened them." she glanced at the puppy bouncing around at Jaqcues's feet happily with a bone squeaky toy. It made soft whoosh sounds though, because Tur had chewed out the squeaker. She bit her lip once more. "So.. how's everyone else doing? Is Silas okay? Ezalia and Lian stopped over a few days ago.. My. Everyone has changed so much..."

Jaqcues blinked his different colored eyes at the mention of them. He personally, wasnt so proud of all of himself. He was very half and half now with his eyes,rings and wings the way they where.
''Yes...the new me...'' He said blinking away his troublesoum thoughts and smiling. ''Everyone is just wonderful. Silas has a new little one to look out for too, her name is Maryjane. She is quite adorable. The and Dimitri are getting married soon, its exciting. Julian is just as she was when you first met her...however Lily has changed...I think the wear of Annie's death is getting to her...nad Jack has died...'' He said rubbing the back of his head.
So much had happened in the past, what, year? Two? He couldnt remember.
((Yes...well....I dont know what Gimphire means for Im not a dictio...I cant spell it...Yes...its sad...but hes in a better place I guess....also...we went to Erie..I got the next Crique, Im almost done, so you'll have to borrow it ^_^ I also got the Demonata series 1-2 ))

(( OMFG YOU MUST FINISH THE DEMONTATA SERIES I LOVE IT SO AND ESPECIALLY ALL THE BLOOD AND GUTS AND THE SECOND BOOK IS VERY DESCRIPTIVE ON THE GORE AND I LOOVVEE IIITTTT!!! Gimphire is not in the dictionary... Ed and I made it up... ^^ Actually, Ed made up the gimph part, I added the ire. Gothic-Pimp-Vampire. ))
Riki's smile faded. "Yes, it's been so long.." she said as if reading his mind, her voice becoming distant. Jack was dead, well, frankly she knew that, but the news of death always was heavy. And it was good Silas was okay, if not Ezalia would be heartbroken.
(( ..... What to type? This has absolutley no plot... Basically just them meeting up.. Hmm... What to do.. ))

Riki nodded. "Yes, I know. Other vampires shall be fighting too, including my sister." she said, staring at the wall blankly. A humourless giggle escaped her throat. "I'm not worried though, she's one of the best double-sword fighters out there, if not the best. And if her defense dosen't work, I'm sure her cats will porotect her." her eyes seemed to be hollow t the thought of Meski and Jaqcues dying.
(( Laa-de-laa.. Maybe Meski should jump in and randomly burst out into song while fighting vampaneze or slayers or something... lol. ))

Riki laughed again the humourless laugh.
"Hear what?" she asked, glancing around. Tur growled and raised his hackles, dropping the broken toy. He backed towards Riki, who picked him up and cuddled him to her chest. "What is it, Tur, Jaqcues?" she asked, tilting her head. Her hands clenched at the staff instictivly as she realized she was holding it the whole time.
(( Lol.. Riki your hearing has gone in your old age.... of 5,002...I think.... Ra only knows how old you are. Hmm, what are you doing? ))
