Jack glowered at her. "Jules..." He warned.
Thea smiled down at Dimitri. "Hey, not so bad now, huh?"

Dimitri growled. ''Easy.....for you.....ta'....say.....'' He mumbled. Lauri laughed quietlly at this. He sighed and shook his head. A black feather fluttered slowly to the floor. ''Argh..'' He said bending to pick it up. He fiddled with it trying to get it back into his hair.
Linde raised an eyebrow at this but said nothing. He instead nodded to Julian. ''Great..''

Thea sighed and rested her chin on her palm. "Must you be so pessimistic, darling?" She asked.
Julian's grin widened a centimeter. "Oh course, Thea. It's in his nature, just as it's in your nature to forgive ever single stupid thing he does."
Jack smacked her on the back of the head, fed up. Julian hit him back on the cheek and the two began a slap-war.

''GOT IT!'' Lauri said in victory as the feather stuck in his hair. Linde gave him an odd look and the man sat down. ''What?!'' He said.
Dimitri grumbled and rubbed his brow. ''Where....am...I?'' He asked.

Thea smiled." At Jack's mother's bakery. Would you like some cake?"
Julian held up her hands. "Alright, alright! I give up. No more gender jokes, okay?"
Jack folded his arms across his chest. "Yeah, whatever."

Dimitri groaned at the words 'Bakery' and 'cake'. Any thought of eating sickened him at the moment. ''No....'' He said.
Lauri sighed and bobbed his head as he played air guitar and mouthed words to one of his songs. Lauri laughed at him and sat back in his chair.

Thea laughed. "Didn't think so..maybe when you're feeling better." She said.
Julian,too, laughed. Jack shook his head, while Jean decorated a wedding cake for one of her customers.
Then Julian stopped giggling, and did a full body turn towards the door.

Lauri stopped singing and playing guitar to look up. ''Whats wrong?'' He asked looking at Julian.
Linde looked up too.

A man walked quickly down the street with an odd looking device in his hands. ''Around here somewhere...'' He whispered to himself in a deep voice.

Julian didn't answer, just stood slowly, like a cat arching it's back in the prescence of an enemy.
Jack swiftly got up and took his mother's arm ."Mum...why don't you go upstairs?"
Jean nodded, but looked at the boy quizzically. "Okay, Lambkin...I have some emails to send anyway." She left up a flight of wrought iron stairs to her apartment above the bakery.
Thea's smile grew, then faded as she saw Julian.

Dimitri sighed and closed his eyes.
Lauri and Linde just sat in silence.

The man walked faster as a blinking light blinked faster. ''They are here....good...'' He whispered. He stopped in his tracks at the bakery. The blinking was going so fast it looked like the light was just 'on' instead of blinking. ''What?'' He said looking at the bakery sign. He had expected a deserted warehouse...for the ratyer ones or maybe a mansion of some sort, but not a bakery. He looked at the Hummer parked out front. ''That explains it...'' He said. He looked at the door with suspicion and held his hand over the doorknob. A small 'click' sounded and he pused open the door.

Julian crossed the room, silver eyes aflame. She forced a smile onto her face. "I'm sorry, sir, but we're closed." The guardian said. "Maybe you could come back tommorow?"
Thea looked at the man curiously.
Jack, who stood by he stairs, bit his lip.

The man smirked. ''I dont think so.'' He said flicking his wrist restraining the girl with invisible chains. ''Mmmm....so its you two....'' He said standing over Dimitri and Thea.
Dimitri's eyes snapped open and he moved to get up but his legs felt numb and he slid back on the floor his head resting in Thea's lap again.
Lauri and Linde both jumped up ready to jump the guy if he got any ideas.

Thea bared her teeth at the man. "May I ask who you are, sir, and why you insist coming in uninvited?"
Julian struggled with the chains around her ankles and wrists, as the invisible iron burned her like a strip of red-hot coal. "Ah! Get them off!" She cried, bumping into a counter, then a wall, then the table.
Jack looked up at the door of his mother's apartment. Firmly locked. Good. He could help Jules now. Jack raced over to Julian and pulled a lazer cutter from his pocket.

The man smiled. ''No need.'' He said to Jack as he flicked his wrist again. The chains stopped burning her. ''Besides, your little lazer wont cut them. Can you be a good girl?'' He said looking at her. Not waiting for an answer he turned to Dimitri and Thea. '' I am Meier Link, and Im sorry for barging in. But all Vampire's and Vampress' must be warned of a few things. Some you may nkow and others I doubt. Also, we need recrutes for an upcoming war. Against my better judgement I have gone around informing all of you for no one else felt powerful enough to control your race. Would you like to hear?'' He asked looking at them.
Dimitri groaned. ''Damn......higher...ups....'' He grunted.
Lauri raised an eyebrow and sat down. This good be interesting. Lauri didnt sit but lowered his fists.

Thea looked up at Meier, her face emotionless. "Hmm...I guess so. But I must ask you to release Julian. She...doesn't like being chained."
Julian bared her teeth, The flesh on her wrists still stung something horrid. "Hmph. No, you're not sorry. Did you really have to chain me for that, Link?" She growled, while Jack reluctantly put his lazer back in his pocket.
