Lily wrapped an arm around her knee and watched the sunlight fade through the cave's opening.
Thea stopped stroking M's hair, and gave herself over to thought.
Nicholas opened his eyes, which were red, as foxes' become when nighttime comes.

Jaqcues blinked. ''Are we going to stay here all night....or are we leaving to the next stop...I guess it to be a few hours walk from here...and it'll be easier to move at night...'' He said sitting hip and turning his back against the wall. In the dim light his rings glowed a red hue and a yellow hue.
Dimitri shrugged his eyes still closed. ''I dont know.'' He said again. Silas rubbed the bridge of his nose. ''Im good for anything.'' He said clearing his throat.

Lily stood, shifting her bag on her shoulder. "We should go. The sooner we get to the Mountain, the better."
Thea nodded in agreement, and Nicholas just barked.

Dimitri stood. ''Ok.'' He said stretching making his back crack. Jaqcues nodded and stood beside his brother. He stood only a few inches shorter now, rather than his few feet shorter from before.
Silas nodded and gently lifted Maryjane off the ground and into his arms as he stood. ''Alright then...shall we go..?'' He asked. The brothers nodded and both walked from the cave at the same time.

Thea stood as well, walking after Dimitri and Jacques. Lily followed right behind her, her hands behind her back and her lips pursed.
Nicholas leaped after the the wind and earth children, his claws clicking on the earth each time he landed.

Silas sighed and followed after with maryjane bringing up the back of the group.
''So, what do you think Oliver and Karsten will think of our parade of freaks?'' Jaqcues asked his brother. Dimitri chuckled and shrugged. ''I dont think Oliver will be to mad....but Karsten on the other hand..'' He said. Jaqcues nodded. ''I agree...Im curious to see what they'll think of me....and...Im excited to see Liz again.'' He said.

Thea looked up from watching her shoes. "Say, didn't Julian say something about knowing Oliver? How do you think that's possible?" She asked.
Lily shrugged. "What isn't possible, with Jules?"
Nicholas snorted, and shook his head as he lept along.

Dimitri shrugged. ''Who knows...'' he said as he surveyed the rock of the mountain ahead of them. The cold in the air tickled his throat every time he took a breath, but he dismissed this problem. he had enough on his palte as far as he was concerned.
Jaqcues put a hand in his pocket. ''So...what do you plan to do on the festival? Are you going to sing again? Oh oh...or are you going to try that comedy act again? That was pitiful, but we were all to frunk to care.'' he said poking fun at his elder brother. Dimitri laughed and shook his head. '' I havent decided yet actually.'' He said.
Silas walked along behind everyone smiling at their antics. He sighed and looked to the ground. It was a bit sad he had yet to tell them what he truely was. he was surprised they hadnt said anything when his sister had shown up.

Thea nodded. "Oh, yes, the festival. What's the fuss about that? What all happens during it?" She asked, walking a bit faster.
Lily shifted her backpack, her many keychains swishing as she did so.
Nicholas abandoned his leaping and changed back into his humanoid form. His longer legs made passing Lily up a breeze.

Dimitri and Jaqcues both laughed. ''Well, many things. Its a way for all of us Vampire's to get together and exchange news, and get together. We have fights, drinking, songs you name it we do it at our festival.'' Dimitri said a smile creeping onto his lips.
''Oh yes, it goes on for quite some time. Its always alot of fun. Then at the end...sometimes a Vampire, usually a General, but in some cases regular Vampire's, are put to the Trials of Death.'' Jaqcues said excitment in his deepened voice. ''The trials, are for the new Prince. Its tradition, if you llive, you become Prince, if you die, its obvious. But I dont know if we will this year or not...the threat of war has things a bit hectic so I;ve heard.'' Dimitri added.
Silas chuckled to himself at this, his sad thoughts melting away like the snow.

Lily entered the conversation, asking a seemingly random question. "Do you guys have a ball during it?" She asked. "Like, with dancing and stuff?"
Thea turned to look at the teenager, wondering where this question may have come from.
Nicholas had abandoned the world, looking up at the starry sky. What he was actually doing was looking for Orion's Belt.

Dimitri and Jaqcues shrugged. ''Kinda...not really a ball, ball, its not very fancy being in a Mountain and such...but yes, we do dance.'' Dimitri said. Jaqcues clapped. ''Last year, we danced to Dimitri.'' He said remembering the haunting notes his brother had sang.
Silas looked at the child sleeping in his arms. She looked so peaceful sleeping. He shook his head. She was being brought into a world of vast danger and devestation. The affairs of the Night creatures werent such a small child should be involved in, yet she somehow was.

Lily grinned. "Cool. As long as I get to dance, I'm fine."
Thea reached over and tried to ruffle her hair, but Lily shrank away. But the earth child was still grinning like a kid opening christmas presents.
Nicholas, again, jammed his hands into his pockets and continued to looked skyward.

((Hmm....Im thinking we speed up or something...walking isnt very....interesting...unless you have something in mind.))
Dimitri chuckled. ''We'll see how much you like dancing after its all over.''He said still chuckling to himself.
Jaqcues smiled and looked ahead of them as the walked. His rings still glowed brightly even through the black material of his jeans.
Silas went back to thinking as he walked. Absentmindedly stroking the small childs hair with his one hand.

((Sure...and no, I don't have anything in mind..until our charried get to the mountain, of course.))
Thea raised her ruddy eyebrows, but went back to looking at her feet.
Lily snorted and abandoned the conversation, shaking her head to get off some rocks that had landed in it during their stay in the cave.
Maryjane stirred the faintest bit, and rested her forehead on Silas' left pectoral.
Nicholas payed no attention to where he was going, yet somehow avoided crashing into rocks and the like.
