Karsten sighed and went back into Lily's room with his glass of blood. He was sick of questions and growled as he sat on a couch positioned facing the bed in the room.

Lily turned around, raising one eyebrow at Karsten. Her face was half hidden by her blonde hair. "Anything wrong?" She asked.

Karsten looked up and sighed. She made it better it seemed, she was his morphine. ''No...just, I dont know...'' He muttered sipping some crimson liquid from his glass.

Lily scrambled to a sitting position. She tilted her head to the side like a curious puppy and remarked. "Anything I can help with?" The earth child asked.

Karsten shook his head. ''No, petal...Im afraid not..'' He said. In his head he added, 'No one can..' But didnt say that to Lily. She would be really worried if that would have came out of his mouth.

Lily giggled. "Oh, puh-shaw...say, where's my Father? He knew it was my birthday, and was going to tell you..." She trailed off, looking around the room as if hoping to see Oliver suddenly appear in front of her.

Lily was not to be fooled. She crossed her arms over her chest, having only just barely caught the grimance in Karsten's eyes and said, "You didn't scare him off, did you?"
