Lily slipped out of Oliver's arms and stood in front of Julian, her tiny fists clenched. "A brother is a person who cares for you and who would certainly not let you die. You are no brother of Karsten's, so begone and do not come back." She said, her voice even colder than Julian's.
The guardian simply snarled at Korvin and knelt next to Karsten's corpse, ready to kill the man should he try to come closer.
Oliver smiled weakly at Alexandra...he doubted that he could have had the courage to even think about throwing the knife.

Alex growled and lowered the weapon, eyeing Korvin carefully. If he left an opening, she would throw the knife.
Korvin chuckled at Lily. ''Oh dear girl, I am his brother no matter what you say....I just thought I should tell you something about him you probably didnt know. Now, tell me, how do you think your parents died....''He said tapping his fingers on the table he sat upon.

Lily looked at Korvin with calm eyes. "I know how the died--I saw how a few certain Vampires took them both and hung them from the oak tree me and my sister used to play in. I know more about their deaths than even you." She said, her voice never wavering.

Korvin smiled and shook his head. ''I dont think you do....Mister.Baasch here was behind it..''He said with an evil grin on his face.
Alex's eyes widened. Her fingers twtched in anger around the knife she held. Korvin wasnt looking at her, he was focused on laughing in his little victory.
Not for long..
''You, are a liar sir..even I can tell.''She said as the knife flew from her fingers and hit him square in the chest, shocking him, and Vampires around him.

Lily scoffed at him, her soft lips drawn back into a grimance. "Humph. I'd sooner stab you myself then believe you, Korvin. Now get lost before I become truly angry." She growled, one hand shooting out and pushing the knife in deeper. "Or, you could die right here. Either's fine with me, really."
Oliver smirked, and only just barely stopped himself from whooping.
Julian rubbed her forehead. "Oh, yes...and be reminded that if you die, I'm going to eat your heart." She added boredly.

Korvin glarred at them all, and In a sickly yellow smoke cloud, he vanished back to wherever his castle was located.
Alex smirked and crossed her arms. ''Showed him..''She muttered.

Oliver caught Alex's eye and nodded to her, winking silently.
Lily groaned and sat down on the floor. She found she could not bring her eyes over to where she knew Karsten lay.
Julian, knowing this, tilted her head slightly baclwards and said. "Hmph...anyone going to take the Prince and..." She grimanced. "Prepare him?"

Alex looked up slightly. ''Them...will come get him and then....we send him off into the next life by, putting him into the river in the mountain's cavern below us now.''She said softly, as no one else said anything.
Elizabeth was standing silently near Oliver, a few people away, looking sadly at Karsten. She didnt show it, but she liked her Prince's.

Oliver bowed his head and beckoned towards his daughter. Lily came without protest and let him put his arm on her shoulders and lead her out of the Hall.
Julian nodded and sat down on one of the tables, her own head bowed in quiet sorrow.

Them came as Alex said and took Karsten's body. Leading with two torches in front, they began the descent to the cavern where the Prince would depart.
As he passed, Elizabeth and Alex followed behind him, they both wanted to watch him leave.

Seemingly out of nowhere, William Ives stepped from the shadows and trailed after the procession, his dark-haired head resting against his chest and his half-moon glasses dangerously close to slipping off his narrow nose.

As they entered the cavern, the great roaring river which was fed from the fall of the gardens ripped past them in the eaten out part of rocks. Them stopped infront of the ledge holding Karsten as a few Vampire's said small prayers, while most of them made the death sign.
Alex put her forfinger and ring finger to her eyes and then presed her middle finger to her forhead and then put her hands down as she watched Karsten's body. Elizabeth did the same thing and sniffed. ''Ill miss you, Karsten..''She murmered.

Them then silently threw the Prince's body into the water. It was instantly sucked down and flowing out iinto the tunnel, gone forever as far as most were concerned.

William watched him go, then drew his head up and strode quietly back down the tunnel with a barely audile sigh.
