Katherine's expression did not change. "Hmph. Even with my blood, would I not die if someone, the blasted Bonicelli, shoved a knife between my ribs. Like...like..." The girl turned her dark-haired head away to hide the sudden, unexpected tears and fled the room.

Silas and Jaqcues looked at one another and sighed. ''Well...who is going to go see if shes alright?'' Jaqcues said.
''Hey, you my friend are family, you get to go.'' Silas said nodding.

Katherine's hand shot out as she walked, her already substantily sharp fingernails ripping the wallpaper in a wobbly line as she walked. Her expression was murderous as she walked up the stairs, but there was also a tinge of fear in it.

Jaqcues sighed and began walking after Katherine. Following her was easy cnsidering the long ripped line in the wallpaper was the path she was taking. He almost rolled his eyes at this, but he didnt.
Silas shook his head and sat down on one of the wooden chairs sitting around the kitchens table. ''Ugh...this is such an odd family..''He muttered.

Katherine took a sharp turn, severing her trail as she disappeared into a pitch-black hallway. The only thing that could seen or heard of the girl were her bright eyes and her soft footsteps.

Jaqcues sighed and had to listen a moment to decide where to go after her.
Katherine...were, at least, Im sorry, for that..we should be more careful with what we say. He said hoping she would reply.

Suddenly...
There was laughter. Husky, cruel laughter, with the taint of evil and everything rotten.
"Jacques!" Katherine's voice, loud and frightened. Her aqua eyes shined in the blackness, glimmering strangely.

Jaqcues ran and was with Katherine in seconds. He wrapped his black and white wings around her,and himself, naturally. His red eye was glowing with anger as he put a hand on Katherine's arm so she didnt move from his protection.
''You dont belong here, havent you caused enough trouble?!''He yelled with a deep growl coming out from the back of his throat.

The voice laughed, and a pair of haunting pale blue eyes leered down at Jacques. "One can never have enough strife, my friend...and I daresay I won't stop until I get my way."
Katherine hissed at the prescense. "You sound like and insolent child! You think of what you are doing as a game?"

Jaqcues growled. ''Well, Im afriad you are going to stop getting your way.''He said moving back a few steps, keeping his wings around the pair as they slowly moved back towards the lit halls. The dark was making him nervous, despite his great vision.

More chuckling. "Not so fast, Jacques! I have a little something to show you..."
Kat's nose prickled as the spicy scent of cinnamon reached her sensitive nose, and her face went paper-white.

The same scent reached Jaqcues nose. ''No, I dont need to see anything that you have to show. Now leave, before someone of higher power gets your ass.''He hissed through his clamped teeth.

The prescense snickered. "Oh, there isn't much they can do to this old man, dear Jacques. And I believe you will want to see this."
A figure stepped forward, and the scent of stale blood mixed with cinnamon. Thea stood before her daughter and brother-in-law, looking at them with her hazel eyes filled with tears and pain. Crimson still dribbled from the tricenda knife wounds. "Uh..." She gasped, clutching her chest.
Tears dribled down Katherine's cheeks. "Mm...mommy?"

Jaqcues shielded Katherine's eyes.
''STOP IT! She doesnt need to see that!!''He yelled turning his back to Thea. He coldnt stand to see her like that. He wasnt even sure if it was her, not just a fake image of her.

Who else but Sabino Bonicelli, in all his wicked glory, sppeared next to Thea. "Hah! She did want to know what her mother looked like, no? So I have shown her." He clicked his tounge. "Thea. Come here."
Thea bowed her head in shame and walked over to Sabino, kneeling at his feet like a dutiful slave.
