Julian held up a finger. "Corey, hold on a moment please. I have to go lecture my charge on the sins of eavesdropping." Then she disappeared, only to reappeared cross-legged on Dimitri's back.
"What.The.Freak,Do.You.Think.You.Are.Doing?!" The guardian hissed, smacking the vampire upside the head.
Downstairs, Corey merely sighed.

Julian let loose a ground-shaking roar of anger. "Oh, please! I'm not that heavy, you're just being difficult! Why were you listening to us? What happens in the McCauley clan is no business of yours!" She hissed, huffing and puffing.

Corey groaned. "To hell with this...I need some new pants." And with that he shuffled out of the cellar, clutching his pants.

Dimitri sighed and rolled over making Julian fall off of his back. ''Why, because I like to lay on the ground for my health just to listen toyou people. I dont know what the hell was going on anyway, so keep your pants on.'' He said rubbing his head,
Lauri slide down the wall nad sat on the ground. ''Wow.''
Nicole slid into Jaqcues' old bedroom. She loved the way it smelt. The young Vampire hadnt been seen for a long time. The last time anyone had seen him was at the wedding. So she had decided to stay in his room. She laid on the bed he had off to the side in the room he sometimes used when he didnt feel like using a coffin.

Suddenly there was a soft knocking on the door that led to Nicky's chosen room, and Corey equally soft voice said. "...Nicky? You in there? Listen, I....er...ripped my clothes play-sparring with Julian, and I need some new pants and a shirt. Can you see if there are any old clothes of Jacques that might fit me?"

Julian didn't even sit up, just lay there. "Good...but you have to promise me that whatever you did hear you won't repeat to anyone...not even Thea." She whispered.

Nicole sat up. ''Oh..yeah, come in. You can look through them..'' She said getting up and opening the door and letting Corey inside. She then went over to the Vampire's closet and opened the door and turned on the light to the walk-in closet. ''Thats all of his stuff.'' She said nodding sadly to the dimly lit closet.

Dimitri nodded. ''Alright alright...just dont sit on me again.'' He said laying on the carpeted ground. He felt very drained and wanted to sleep. But was afraid to let the sleep overtake him.

Corey, still struggling to hold up his ripped pants, nodded gratefully. "Thanks...and it will be enough. Can you..." He gestured away from himself, indicationg that he wanted her to leave so he could change.

Julian grunted. "Dimitri...I'm going to tell you right now. Go.To.Sleep. Those dark rings under your eyes are freaking me out. Seriously."

Nicole nodded her head and left the dim room. She sighed heavily and shut the door behind her. She slid down the firm wooden door and felt her butt touch the ground with a soft thud. '' How do I get involved with people like this....?'' She asked herself outloud hoping in vain for some magical answer.

Dimitri sighed and shook his head. ''Dont want to.'' He murmered quietlly like a small child. Lauri looked at his friend with a sad look in his eyes. ''Hey, just get some rest...shes right, the bags under your eyes matched with all your eyeliner is rather...scarey. You'll be fine, and we can talk in the morning about your--'' Lauri was cut off by Dimitri shooting straight up into a standing position glarring heatedly down at him. ''You promised.'' The Vampire hissed in rage at his human friend. Lauri held up a shakey hand. ''Im sorry...I just figured she knew ab--'' ''SHUT THE HELL UP!'' Dimitri yelled glarring angrily at a clearly frightened Lauri.

Julian rose slowly, gracefully, and pressed Dimitri bodily against the wall. "Calm down, big guy. I know what you have been doing...I've been hard-pressed not to notice the razors you hide in your drawers. Up 'til now I haven't said anything about it, because I had hope that Lauri would convince you to stop this idiocy. Now, I suggest you calm down and tell me why." She whispered, looking into her charges eyes.

Of, course, no answer came, and a few minutes later Corey emerged from the room, clad in, of all things to wear, and black cotton suit over a white dress shirt. His feet, however, were bare.
Corey smiled at Nicky. "Thanks, honey. You can go back in now."

Dimitri avoided her gaze by turning his head to the side. Hew felt betrayed by his friend. By his Guardian, he even felt rather betrayed by the world. The only answer he wanted to give Julian was a simple, 'I dont know.' However he knew she would press him for the real answer, which was something he hadnt even really told Lauri. Yes, his friend knew of the cutting, but not why other than Dimitri was in a depressed state of mind.
''Julian...promise me you wont tell Althea....I dont think I could bear to see the hurt in her eyes if she found out....It alone would kill me.'' He said seriously now turning to look down at the woman.
Lauri stood rather shocked at the whole episode. He remained silent though so he didnt draw the wrath of Dimitri onto himself again.

Nicole stood and normaly would have yelled at Corey for calling her anything other than Nicky, but instead she hugged him and gave him a weak smile before heading back into Jaqcues' dreary room.

Corey blinked, too stunned to move for a few seconds. Then he shook himself and walked swiftly down the the hallway with a bemused smile on his face.

Julian let go of her charge, placing her hands on her hips. "I swear on my own brother's life that I will not betray your secret, sonny. Now, I ask again--why? Why are you doing this to yourself?"

Nicole slipped into the safety of the cool bed and the moment her head touched the pillow, she felt drained. ''Goodnight father....goodnight brothers...'' She said closing her eyes with a small smile playing on her soft lips.

Dimitri rubbed his arms subconsciously. ''Why....because....Im....Im afraid okay? Afraid of life, Im afraid to live...It doesnt come great for me. I have to put on a tough front just to like a little happy at times. Im afraid of death too, however I continue to do this to myself!'' He said holding out his arms. Scars lined his arms, although it was hard to see them on his right arm, his left arm the scars were visable unless he covered them with a foundation. ''And you know what Im afraid of the most? Love! Yes, me, afraid of love. God, hasent anyone pieced two and two together by now? My song lyrics clearly tell everyone about my depression, the way I act, isnt it all obvious?! The scarey thing about it all is, ready, that I am willing to face death to simple rid myself of all these fears. I might be afraid to die, but, its the easy way out. it would be quick, then nothingness...'' He said looking at Julian then Lauri with an overwhleming amount of sadness and depression he had covered up with anger so no one saw how he truly felt.
Lauri's jaw went slack. ''Dimitri...we can take you to councling...or....something.....you dont have to die...'' He said softly. His friend shook his head making black hair fall into his green eyes filled with so much betrayl and sadness.

Julian closed her eyes momentarily, then opened them again. "Dimitri, what about Thea? I should think that your love for her would over rule any suicidal notions...and do you realize that after you die, she might just take her own life? I really don't think you want that, and if you do...then I'm sorry I'm your guardian." She said, her voice low. This woman just didn't have the paitence for sorrow. It was just something you lived with, you got used to it over time.

Corey ran a hand through his brown hair. "Grah...should I tell her? I mean, she is my charge and all...no. No, I won't. She'd doubtless be freaked out and never allow me within ten feet of her...." He mubled as he walked.

Dimitri shook his head slowly. '' I love Thea...and it pains me to think like this about suicide...But...I have always been like this...I should have let her be...but being an idiot I had to see if this lve was any different, the one to save me...but....I just...I cant do it anymore. I cant stand to look at myself...I hate what is happening to me....'' He said trailing off and getting a glassy look to his eyes.
Lauri looked rather mad now. He grabbed Dimitri by the collar and held him up, even though the other man was larger than him, and punched him. ''idiot! Dont you see?! You have thousands...no, millions of people that all care for you, and the most important ones live with you. Think about it, the reason your this way is because you just dont want to be happy. Sadness is not an illness you cant shake like cancer, it is simply in your head. You need to kick this shit, and we are all helping you until your no longer wishing yourslef dead. Starting tonight, Im making it my personal goal in life that you never cut yourself again. Im taking every damn sharp object from this house. Am I making myself clear?!'' The angry Finnish man said glarring u at his friend.
Dimitri nodded slowly. It was a step.

''You'll never know unless you tell her.'' Said a soft musical voice from behind Corey. ''Nicole has been through alot, she understands things such as your problem young one...'' The voice said. It seemed to float around the whole room, and in the boys head all at once giving the voice a rather echoey voice when he spoke.

Julian nodded curtly and took out two silver knives out of her black trenchcoat. " I'll help ya, Lauri. Here...start with these two. I can fight just as well without them." She said, holding the weapons in one tiny pale hand.

Corey stopped walking, a miniscule smile appearing on his lips. "Hmm...and what makes you so sure? Humans are fickle creatures, my friend." He replied, his voice equally soft.
