"My...Another universe...past....family.....dead...." she spluttered out words. As she scooched away from Luther a bit. Her face was blushing.
"Umm...Long story." she said finally, wiping away the last of the scared tears.

Rena smiled a bit. She still felt the adrenaline rushing through her- the memory. When she killed her parents...and brother. Her heart beat was quick.

"Mommy okay?" he asked, purring slightly.
"I'm fine Cloo. Honest." she said, forcing a weak smile.

A peck at the window caused Luther to look up. Outside was a dark black crow tilting its head looking inside. Luther smiled and opened the window letting the cow land on his shoulder. He closed the wndow and turned around. ''Rena, this is my pet crow. Silas.''He said smiling as the crow made soft cooing noises.

Luther smiled. Silas flew from Luther's shoulder and landed on the chair Luther had been sitting in. It crowed softly and tilted his head at Rena. Hello He said in her mind.
