Thea snapped. Images of her father's body flashed through her mind.
She howled and slapped Dimitri across the face. "Why? I thought--" Jack interrupted her by grabbing her arms and pulling her away from the vampire.
The boy shook his head. "I can't believe you, man..." He said.
Julian frowned--she hadn't expected Thea to get so worked up about this.

Dimitri rubbed his face. He remained silent and only looked at Thea.
Lauri and Linde both sighed. ''Told you.''Linde said.

Thea closed her eyes. "Why?" She asked again, softly. Jack looked up at the night sky.
Julian tutted. "You make it sound as if you're killing random people off the street, Dimitri dear." She explained for Thea.

Tears slid down Thea's cheeks. "Troublesome...like catcalling at the waitress, or something like that? That's no reason to kill someone, Dimitri."
Julian sighed. He's hopeless... She thought.
Jack shook his head, silent.

Dimitri sighed. ''Im...Im sorry Thea...please...please dont cry...'' He said looking at her with a pleading expression. Lauri shook his head making his black feathers wiggle in his hair.

Thea looked at him, her eyes filled with tears. "It't not me you should be apologizing to, love. You should go apolgize to the mothers of the people you killed. " She said.
Julian nodded, while Jack nibbled his bottom lip.

Dimitri ground his teeth together. ''Oh, you expect me to walk up to there door and say. ''Hi, I killed your son. Sorry...goodbye?'' He said. ''It doesnt work like that Dea', besides, I would most likely be thrown in jail for months possibly without bail...and maybe be scentenced to death. Then if they dont take me to the police, fans would find out and HIM would no longer exist.'' He said trying not to yell. Linde shut his eyes. He had thrown them from the car...so it was his fault. ''Thea, dont be mad at him...it was me who killed them..'' He said. Lauri's mouth dropped open. ''Linde...''

Julian glared at Dimitri. Ugh... She called to him, but said nothing more. That was enough to convey her disgust.
Thea closed her eyes, speechless. Jack gave an odd look to Linde.

Linde nodded. ''I am not lying....Dimitri was driving at the time, I was the one who actually pushed them from the Hummer...'' He said bowing his head. Dimitri looked at his frined in silence. ''Linde dont...'' He started to say something else but the guitarist raised his hand for silence. ''So dont be angry with Dimitri.''He said.
Lauri looked at Linde in slight confusion, why would he do that? It had been him who had killed them...but Linde wasnt one to take the blame for things he did.

Thea sighed and closed her eyes again. Jack decided it was safe to let go of her arms and did so. "Can you all at least give me a good reason?" She asked quietly.
Julian fiddled with a marker she had found in her pocket, drawing designs on her jacket cuffs.

All three men dropped their heads in shame. Lauri's feathers fluttered in the wind as he spoke. ''Would you like the turthful answer....?'' He asked still looking at the ground.
Dimitri swallowed cutting back a cough as he looked at the ground. He felt as if he was a small child being scolded by his mother.
Linde used the tip of his shoe to write a heartagram in the dirt as he looked at the ground. He wasnt going to say anything now. He had thrown the kids out, but simply because a very angry Dimitri told him to. That was a good enough reason for him.

Thea nodded. "I always prefer the truth, however hard it may be. Tell, Lauri."
Julian continued to mark an elaborate pattern on her left arm, paying no attention to Thea or anybody else.
Jack watched Lauri, Linde, and Dimitri with raised eyebrows and a pursed mouth.

Lauri sighed and whispered something to Dimitri. The Vampire looked up at Lauri as if he was about to tear the boys head off his shoulders. He nodded slowly and stepped back and walked to the gas station store.
Lauri straightened and sighed. ''Well miss....Its about a car....the boys totaled one of his favorite cars after he was already in a considerably bad mood because of one of Miss McCauley's delightful friends. Now....knowing Leston...he had to even the deal...although personaly it wasnt very....even. Thus they died and we are all standing here and Dimitri is in the Gas Station.'' He said rather simply.
Linde snorted and shook his head. ''You know...you make Dimitri sound like some crazy scientist or something Lauri...'' He said.

"Tish-tosh." Jack said. "The only crazy scientist here is myself, and I'm not about to go shoving people out of moving cars."
Julian glared at Lauri, her marker poised in her hand like a dagger. "Don't insult Maris, dear. She's been through hell and a lot of other horrible things. As have I." She quipped.
Thea gave a choking sound, and put a hand to his forehead. "Argh! That's just--OOH!" She said, her face turning red as a beet.
