The color left Thea's face and she fell backwards to land on her bottom. There was a faint banging outside, the sound of the wind shreiking and pounding the mountain because of Thea's shock...and soon to be anger.
"But...she's only fifteen! She's young enough to be Karsten's great-great-great-great-great granddaughter! And Jacques! Fighting with her! What the hell!?"

Dimitri groaned. ''Althea...please love...not right.....now.''He said coughing. ''Look at us...Im much older...than you...Karsten wouldnt have.....the guts to do anthing anyway.....he almost flipped when he learned about it....'' He said holding his chest as he coughed painfully. ''However...Jaqcues.....is an idiot...Ill speak with...him.'' He said sitting forward and putting one hand on the ground to hold himself up and the other to hold his chest as he coughed more.

Thea groaned too, the picture of dismay . "But you're much younger than him...almost 3 centuries younger!" When she heard Dimitri's inseceant coughing, she looked up. "Hey...stop talking. You don't look so good."
The half-vampiress put a hand on his shoulder, a very worried look on her face.

A hallway and a half away from the two, Maryjane was starting to get frustrated. She couldn't find Silas, and she was too shy to ask the Vampires walking along were he was.
Silas? Where are you?

Dimitri shook and raised his head a little to look at her with pained eyes. ''No...really Im....ok...'' He said trying not to cough. He put a weak smile on his face.

Silas smirked from where he was. Im getting you your wolf puppy. He said walking back to the Mounatin's entrance his black tail wagging. A small grey pup followed close behind him.

Thea shook her head, and put a hand on Dimitri's other shoulder. "Ah..no, you're not. Don't play the pride game with me, love." She said.

Dimitri smiled and rested his head on her shoulder. ''Love you..'' he whispered before he blacked out. His body fell limp against Thea's.

Silas began to run. The pup behind him jumped quickly sinking in the deep snow. The ablino was skidding to a stop as he reached Maryjane inside. Here is the puppy... He said nodding to the grey ball of fur following him. He darted off as a black blur running to where Dimitri and Thea were.

Maryjane gasped and barely had time to call. "Thank you, Silas!" Before he was gone. She knelt and stroked the wolf pup on his furry head. "Hello, little one. My name's Maryjane." She said, beaming.

Thea smiled, not realizing he was uncouncious until after she replied. " I love you too." When Dimitri didn't answer, the girl looked down at the vampire, and the color left her face again. Thinking fast, she picked the man up easily, placing him on Maryjane's bed and sat down beside him, clearing black hair from his face anxiously.

The tiny grey pup growled and shook his wet fur. He cocked his head to the side and took a small step towards Maryjane. he sniffed her then jumped backwards and peeked behind him then sat wagging his tail.

Silas smacked right into the door to the room the couple where in. He groaned and tottered over. He soon reappeared as a human and opened the door. ''Oh my.'' He said looking at the black on the floor and the unconscious Dimitri.
Dimitri's brow was furrowed and sweat dotted his pale face. His skin was flushed in minutes and coughs would escape his lips every so often.

Thea looked up at Silas, and relief flooded her expression. "Oh, thank heavens. He just passed out." She said, looking back down at her fiancee.

Silas stepped closer to the bed and blinked. ''Wow...I healed him a few hours ago...its...getting worse.'' He said shaking his head.
Dimitri's body convulsed and his back arched as if he was being shocked.
''Oh dear...'' He said. ''Here we go..'' he said resting his hands on Dimitri's chest pressing him down. White light bursted into the room, it quickly turned a sickly yellow but slowly progressed to the white light again. ''Okay..'' Silas said pulling back. ''Three...two...one...'' he said.
Dimitri 's eyes shot open and they were filled with pain. His body arched as he screamed in agony. He gripped at the bed and his legs moved about. He continued to scream in horrid pain.Silas shut his eyes and shook his head, this had been happening each time he had tried to heal his friends sickness...if even for a little while.

The pup lowered its head. I...I think...V-Verchin... He said in a tiny voice. He raised his head to look at the smiling girl.

Thea covered her eyes with her hands, trying not to hear her love's screams. She took everal deep breaths, struggling not to scream herself, for she felt Dimitri's pain was her own as well.

Maryjane scooted closer to the pup. Verchin...that's a nice name. I like it. She said, then repeated the name, as if tasting it.

Dimitri suddenly collapsed onto the bed, his screams stopping. Only the heavy sound of his breathing remained.
Silas shook his head. ''I cant figure out why this happens...'' He said feeling horrible for the couple.
Dimitri groaned and raised his arm to put a pale hand on Thea's shoulder. He had tears of pain running down his face as he lay there. He felt drained just moving that little bit to touch Thea.

Thea took Dimitri's hand and laid it on his stomach before settling down next to him, smiling at him. "Rest, darling." She whispered, tucking a stray peice of black hair behind the vampire's ear.

Dimitri moaned in pain and shudderred.
Silas bit his lip. ''Ill leave you two alone..'' He said quietlly before exiting the room to find the wolf pup and Maryjane.

Verchin wagged his tail. Really? Thanks...I like your name too...Maryjane... He said in a rather high voice for a boy.

Thea winced, biting her lip. She felt more useless than she ever had before. If this Black Cough were a real, solid enemy, she'd slash it to peices and chew on it's bones. But it wasn't, and Thea was stuck watching the love of her live die slowly.

Maryjane smiled. Are you cold? She asked. I saw some really good looking cider in the big hall over there...
